It was designed with life-sized replicas of different buildings representing all regions of Spain and that makes us find from a romanic monastery of the Pyrenees , to a Mozarabic church. Inside the houses we can see how Spanish crafts are produced in situ : glass workshops , wood carvings , spanish guitar builders ... The visit will continue at the Magic Fountains of Montjuic to enjoy this show where water, illuminated with different colors, dance to the beat of the music. All synchronized by computer to provide different 20 minute shows with different types of music : classical, Walt Disney's, current ...

This fishing village began its transformation with the return of the Americans (immigrants who made a fortune in the americas returned to transform the village). The opening of the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc took place on May 19, 1929, at the International Exhibition in Barcelona. The designer Carles Buigas sent the planes a year before the exhibition and many people thought the project was too ambitious to be created, less people could have believed it would be finalized by the time of the Exhibition started. Over 3000 workers were in charge of the project and, after less than 1 year, the magic fountain was finished. The magic fountain is a spectacular display of color, light, motion, music and water acrobatics. If you mix all these elements and combine them properly you get pure magic! The magic fountain is a "must" show and highly recommended if you come to Barcelona.

Pueblo Español is an outdoor museum located in Montjuïc, Barcelona (Spain).

It was built in 1929 for the International Exposition held that year in the city. The idea was promoted by the Catalan architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch and was conceived as a town that was intended to bring together the main characteristics of the spanish villages.

Currently, the Pueblo Español, which has many representative buildings of fifteen spanish autonomous communities, has the function of an outdoor architectural museum together with a folk crafts sample. It also highlights one of the private collections of contemporary art in Barcelona, with paintings by Miro, Dalí, and an interesting collection of Picasso.
